Why does my computer need a DSC token driver?

The driver lets Windows, macOS or your browser talk to the USB token so it can read your Digital Signature Certificate. Without the correct driver installed, the token is not detected and you cannot sign.

My token is not detected — what do I do?

Install the correct driver for your token, then unplug and replug the token, fully close and reopen the browser, and try a different USB port. On Windows, check the token appears under Device Manager > Smart card readers.

Token not detected? Quick fixes

Install the correct driver for your token from the buttons above, then restart the PC.
Unplug and replug the token, and try a different USB port (use a rear port on desktops, avoid hubs).
Fully close every browser window and reopen — the token is read when the browser starts.
On Windows, open Device Manager → Smart card readers and confirm the token appears without a yellow warning.
Make sure only one token driver conflicts — if you switched token brands, the older driver can interfere.
For portals that use Java (older utilities), install/enable Java and add the portal to the exception site list.
