ProxKey token driver — download & install

Install on Windows

1. Download and extract the Windows zip above.
2. Right-click WD_PROXKey_new.exe → Run as administrator.
3. Follow the wizard and finish; restart the PC if prompted.
4. Plug in the ProxKey token and close every browser window.
5. Reopen the browser and open your portal — the token and certificate are detected.

Install on macOS / Linux

macOS: download the ProxKey .pkg, open it and follow the installer; if macOS blocks it, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security, then reconnect the token. Ubuntu/Debian: install the .deb with sudo dpkg -i ProxKey_Ubuntu_driver.deb. RedHat/Fedora: install the .rpm with sudo rpm -i ProxKey_RedHat_driver.rpm. Then replug the token and restart the browser.

ProxKey not detected — fix

1. Confirm the WD ProxKey driver installed without error, then restart the PC.
2. Unplug and replug the token; try a different USB port (rear port, no hub).
3. Fully close and reopen the browser — the token is read at browser start.
4. On Windows check Device Manager → Smart card readers for the token with no yellow warning.
5. If you switched from another token brand, uninstall its old driver — it can block the ProxKey.
